Why being a Table Captain matters

The support of Table Captains makes it possible for the Alliance to Education to share its mission and inspire the community to ensure that every child in Seattle Public Schools is prepared for success in college, career, and life.

How do I serve as a Table Captain?

Table Captains fill their table with 10 guests by inviting friends, family or colleagues to the 16th Annual Community Luncheon. This year’s event takes place on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 at the Westin Seattle.

Tips for inviting your guests

• Let them know why you support the Alliance for Education.
• Direct your invitees to the Alliance website to explain why they should support this fundraiser.
• Consider who in your circle of friends and colleagues might have the interest and capacity to give.
• We suggest you invite 12-15 people, as there will be unanticipated cancellations. If all of your guests confirm, we are happy to provide additional seating or a second table.
• We will provide an email invitation with sample script for your guests, which will include directions on registration.

Registration Instructions

Please direct your guests to register online and note you as their table captain. Dietary requirements and other needs can also be noted.
