Alliance for Education Community Luncheon
Convening Seattle for key conversations about public education
Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. for the Alliance for Education’s Convening Seattle Community Luncheon! The Convening Seattle Community Luncheon gathers the Seattle community to raise funds and increase awareness of pressing educational issues facing Seattle students, families and educators. Join us in person for lunch and conversation in support of the Alliance’s work on behalf of Seattle Public Schools.
This year’s key conversation is on providing immediate basic needs for students that fall outside of a traditional school budget, and how our community can seek additional alignment in giving our Seattle Public Schools the resources they need to thrive. With your participation and donation, we can provide vital resources to students, educators and families in Seattle Public Schools.
Since 1995, the Alliance has partnered with Seattle Public Schools to address big challenges facing students, families, and educators. Now more than ever, this collaboration is critical. Our work to advance racial equity and support students furthest from educational justice is essential at this pivotal moment in our city. Our partners like YOU make an excellent and equitable school system possible. We hope you will join us for lunch and a worthy cause.
Past Convening Seattle Community Luncheon topics have covered topics like increasing educator diversity, discussing recruitment, retention, and pathways to leadership for teachers of color in 2022 and how to build an educational eco-system that supports the brilliance and excellence of Black boys and teens in 2021.
